Recently we received another wedding gift via an email from friends in Thunder Bay who are helping to build a house for a family in need. We are so happy you were able to make the trip to Regina to help us celebrate and love your gift. Thank you Brian, Louise and Maija for helping us to share our love!
Ghislaine is a close friend of our family from Winnipeg. She has always been a very generous person and has helped my parents with many little renovations and other projects around their house. Several years ago a botched surgery left her paralyzed but she has continued to have a positive attitude and is an inspiration to anyone facing difficult times. It was no surprise to us that Ghislaine was thinking of others less fortunate than herself and found a way to give back to the community. What a great charity and story thank you Ghislaine for helping us to share our love!
Act of Kindness Story submitted by Ghislaine Courcelles:
While waiting in the dental office, I thought of a Random Act of Kindness for Joanna and Jeremy. I asked my dentist, Dr. Christine Lachance if I could buy some toothbrushes from her. When I explained to her why I wanted them, she gave them to me free of charge.
So now I had 5 dozen toothbrushes, I purchased 60 tubes of toothpaste and 60 bars of soap. I started doing some research as to where I could donate them. I remembered a story in the Winnipeg Free Press about a very young girl who was collecting backpacks and filling them up with needed supplies for the homeless. Learn by more about Callie's Backpacks for Winnipeg's Homeless on her Facebook page.
When I contacted Callie, I told her about Joanna and Jeremy's wedding wish. Callie thought this was awesome and with Joanna and Jeremy's permission she will be posting their wedding story on her web page hoping others will consider doing the same.
One of my colleagues shared with us that her daughter was inspired by our request and wanted to make a donation to the Regina Humane Society. It took a little while to coordinate schedules but ended up donating a bag of dog toys. We are so touched by this gesture and know the dogs waiting for their forever homes will truly appreciate this gift. Thank you for helping us to share our love!
During the weekend of our wedding, we were so thankful to receive notes in cards, texts or verbal accounts of all of the acts of kindness our guests were inspired to do on our behalf. From families committing to doing an act of kindness a month to others who were doing thoughtful gestures for their neighbours, friends or others in need in their community, we were truly touched by all of your stories. As these stories were shared only in a card or text and in an anonymous way, we felt that we could not write a story about each one on our blog. We truly appreciate everyone's efforts to make our world a better place and thank everyone for sharing your stories with us. We have enjoyed hearing all of them and hope everyone will keep paying it forward in the days and years to come!
June is a busy time of year for teachers and this anonymous couple thought to treat the teachers on staff with a caffeine break. How thoughtful to help teachers make it through the hectic month of June with, what we are sure was, an appreciated treat. Thank you for helping us to share our love!

Our act of kindness was to treat the teachers on staff with a coffee break. We set up a coffee bar with all the fixings along with some snacks. A little fuel to help get everyone through the month of June.
What a lovely story. We love that this "anonymous" family thought to bring some cheer to their neighbour. We are sure your thoughtful gesture brightened her day and she gets to enjoy the flowers all summer long. Thank you for helping us to share our love!

We have a very kind, elderly lady who lives across the street from us. Her husband passed away unexpectedly a year and a half ago. They always had potted flowers in their flower bed but since he passed away she hasn't had any and the yard looks as though something is missing in it. We decided that we would surprise her with three large pots of flowers for the flower bed as a way to share an act of kindness to someone. Thank you Joanna and Jeremy for your inspiration and selflessness! It's a beautiful way to share your love with others. Congratulations and all the best in your future!
Trevor and Jennifer are both kind and thoughtful people who are always willing to lend a hand. We are so touched that you thought of Joanna's dad when making a choice of what to do for your act of kindness. It was thoughtful of you to help make him part of our special day. Thank you for helping us to share our love!

We have made a donation to the Legacy of Hope Foundation in honor of your dad.
Peter is a member of Jeremy's gaming group. We are very thankful that he and his wife Lynne were able to join us at our wedding. We also appreciate the donation to the Regina Humane Society. As owners of two shelter dogs, we love that you thought to donate to this worthwhile cause. Thank you for helping us to share our love!

We've made a donation to the Regina Humane Association. We'd love to adopt a pet but allergies are an issue, so knowing your love of animals we've helped the shelter keep up its good work.
Erin is Joanna's cousin. She is such a kind and generous person who loves to make sure everyone is taken care of and is having a great time. We always enjoy our visits and are so glad she is able to come celebrate with us. Thank you for your wonderful video and for helping us to share our love.

I Love this idea !!! Wow how great ! I just shared a video of what I do to try and be the best everyday and some things to remember on how we all can participate in random acts of kindness.
Today we got a card in the mail from old family friends in Thunder Bay. They had purchased two pairs of boots through World Vision's gift catalogue. These boots are distributed to children living in harsh climates. Since we did not ask your permission to share your name on our blog, we will simply list you as "anonymous". Thank you for your generosity and for helping us to share our love.
